IELTS 아이엘츠 아카데믹 라이팅 1 고득점 전략 샘플 Map - IELTS Academic Writing Task 1

오늘도 전에 포스팅에 이어서 IETLS Academic Writing 아이엘츠 아카데믹 라이팅 Task 1 쓰기 방법과 단락별로 올바르게 작성하는 방법을 알려드립니다!

 

오늘 다룰 주제는 Map 인데요, Map 유형중에도 여러가지가 있겠지만 오늘은 같은 Location의 지도를 보고 2007의 모형과 2010의 모형을 비교하는 문제입니다.

 

밑의 그림과 문제는 IELTS Cambridge IELTS 13 에서 실제 출제된 문제이기도 하며 Band 9.0 정도의 샘플을 바탕으로 제가 직접 서술하는 과정을 포스팅 해봤습니다.

 

The two maps below show road access to a city hospital in 2007 and in 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

다음은 저의 쓰기 과정과 차례를 나열해보았습니다

1. What's the main task in this test?

문제를 다시한번 읽고 그림을 보고 어떻한 다른점과 변경사항 등이 눈의띄는지 한번 보시기 바랍니다.

- Past Tense

- Differences & Changes

이 문제는 2007년도와 2010의 병원주변의 지도를 주어지고 그 두개를 비교를 하는 문제입니다. 그러므로 Past Tense 즉 과거형으로 서술을 해야합니다. 또, 두개의 지도를 비교를 해야하므로 두개의 차이점에 중점을 두고 써여합니다. 

그럼 두개의 차이점을 요점정리를 해보았습니다.

Writing a bullet point summary

- A new carpark has been created/ built: The existing carpark turned into a staff carpark and a new carpark designated for the public was built.

- 6 bus stops on Hospital Rd were removed. Instead, a new bus station was built.

- Two new roundabouts were built on each side of Hospital Rd.

 

또 하나 염두해두어야 할것은 방향입니다. 지도 위에 나침반 있는게 보이시죠? N, E, S, W 가 어떻위치에 있는지 방향을 나타냅니다. 

 

2. Writing the first and second paragrpah (introduction and overview)

두번째는 도입부분 즉 문제를 본의은 말로 바꿔쓰고 가장중요한 Important point를 서술합니다. 저는 개인적으로 이 두 부분을 나누워쓰지만 같이 한 단락에 쓰셔도 괜찮습니다.

 

Introduction

The two hospital maps illustrate a few changes that were made to City Hospital's road infrastructure between 2007 and 2010.

Overview Paragraph

From the comparison between 2007 and 2010, it is noticeable that three main modifications took place. This involved the construction of two roundabouts, a new bus station, and an additional car park. 

 

3. Writing the third paragraph

세번째 Paragraph에서는 두가지 요점을 자세히 설명을 합니다. 새로 건설된 Bus station과 Roudabout 를 중점으로 서술하고 어디에 위치해 있는지를 서술합니다.

As can be seen in the maps, the area around City Hospital underwent some major road developments from 2007 to 2010. Firstly, two traffic circles were built on each end of Hospital Road; one connected with Ring Road below City Hospital and the other with City Road, which is loacated on the south side of the map. In addition, 6 bus stops on each side of Hospital Road were demolished and instead, a new bust station was newly constructed on the west side of Hospital Road which can be accessed via both roundabouts.

 

4. Writing the last paragraph

마지막 Paragraph 에서는 주차시설에 대해 언급을 합니다. 2007년와 2010의 차이점은, 2007년에는 주차시설이 공동으로 쓰였지만, 2010년에는 기존에 있던 주차공간이 Staff을 위한 공간으로 쓰여지고, 공공주자창이 새로 건설되었습니다.

 

In 2007, there was only one carpark area located to the east of Hospital Road that was used for both staff and public, and its entry was located on Ring Road which surrounded City Hospital. On the other hand, in 2010, the shared car park became seperated and was designated for the hopistal employees only, and new public car park space was established to with its access being located to the east side of City Hopital on Ring Road. 

 

차례차례 처음부터 읽고 연습을 해보셨나요? 차이점과 변경사항등이 확연히 보이기 때문에 다른점을 찾는데 어려움이 없어 보이입니다. 아무래도 좀 어려운 부분이라 하면 그 다른점들을 어떻게 비교를 하며 서술하는데 관건인것 같습니다.
